Review of Mindhunters (2004) by Simon F — 12 Mar 2008
A group of highly-trained, top-of-the-class FBI profilers fly to an island for a training mission, then all start acting like complete divs when it all goes awry. Sure enough, they get picked off one by one and suddenly they're all running around like a ditsy cheerleader from a teen slasher movie until the scriptwriters run out of ideas by the farcical final act. Yes, it's a horror-thriller genre flick and it ticks every by-the-numbers box, while delivering the occasional thrill, notably the fight scene between Ladies Love Cool James and Johnny Lee Miller (sporting an accent from the Don Cheadle school) which is surprising well-orchestrated.
