Review of Mimic: Sentinel (2003) by First L — 07 Jul 2007
Well, this was released back in 2003. I had never heard of it, but flipped through a few channels and started watching. It was very 'Rear View' Hitchcockesque. Which was nice. A family living in an apartment, no Dad, and a son who is hypersensitive to many things. Has a number of health issues, so he watches his neighbors through his window and fantastic telephoto lens. He notes many strange occurences across the street. The Mimics are back.
Lance has a relatively small part, but kicks ass as usual. This was a nice surprise and I recommend it, despite not being a huge Mimic fan. Beware, it is like Hitchcock in that it seems slow, until the suspense really builds up. Not great, but well worth a watch.
