At the end of the day, the special effects have not aged well and "Mimic" simply isn't scary. Sorvino and Giannini, in particular, do well with the material and it's fun seeing Josh Brolin for a few (wasted) scenes.

I guess my biggest problem with "Mimic" is that there's simply nothing to distinguish itself; appropriately, "Mimic" seems content to just imitate the beats of greater horror films.
