Hi. .

I can't sleep..

I tried, and I've been tossing and turning in bed for an hour. There's the obvious reason why I can't fall asleep- my thoughts are running constantly and at the moment are causing me much unhappiness. Then there are a few others that could be assisting in my sleep deprivation. A list, if you will:.

1. First Day of School. Tomorrow is my first official day of school at Full Sail. This is a great and exciting thing; however, just like every other first day of school over the years, it causes butterflies of excitement and nervousness. Which are excellent, but not conducive to healthy sleeping habits..

2. Conan O'Brien. I can't sleep because I'm secretly in love with Conan. Oh...now it's not a secret...oops. Okay, Mr. O'Brien isn't really keeping me awake...but the fact that Leno announced on TV tonight that he is turning the Late Show over to Conan in 2009 has me doing a happy dance. Conan is the funniest talk show host on television, and an earlier time slot will bring him even more popularity. He deserves it- Go Conan!!.

3. Emotional Turmoil. We have a winner! I have to have a very serious conversation with someone, and it might be occurring tomorrow. The fact that I have been going through my "speech" over and over, changing it and anticipating different reactions and scenarios, unsure of my own ability to get through it without crying, and debating on whether to drop the whole "hurt" angle and just punch him, has kept me from shutting off my thoughts and drifting off to sleep. Lots of emotion=lots of no sleep..

Elvis Costello rules. That's the bottom line. He is one of the originators of punk, an angry little British man with dorky glasses and a lot to say. Elvis' music has ranged from punk to blues to cabaret to the full orchestration of A Midsummer Night's Dream he was commissioned to write for an Italian ballet company. Many people don't even know his name, yet they hear his music constantly- "(What's so funny 'bout) Peace, Love, and Understanding", "Pump It Up", "She", "Alison"...if they don't sound familiar, download them and you'll know. Or just watch Bill Murray sing his version in Lost In Translation. Costello rules, and he has something for everyone. .

I only saw the last quarter of Mimic, but it seemed to achieve what it was going for- ickyness and cheesiness. Lots of blood and giant ant-bug-thing gook was flung around, as well as Mira Sorvino's slightly cross-eyed self. It wasn't the worst movie I've ever seen, though I thought Chewy the little special child should have gotten eaten. My dad told me the bugs apparently walked around at night in trenchcoats, which was so hilarious to me I couldn't rate this movie any lower than a 4. I mean come on. That kind of ridiculousness deserves a tomato or two..

I just figured I'd mention Billy Crudup is an asshole. Relationship sucks, cheating occurs. Okay, not kosher, but understandable. Babies are born, changes occur, a year or two later you leave. Sad, but things happen. But leaving your pregnant girlfriend of many years for another woman right before your child is born? Fucked up and very wrong. And Claire Danes, you're a slut. There are certain situations where cheating does not affect you and you can enjoy it with a clear conscience- this is not one of them. Why would you want him anyway? Mary Louise Parker, you kick some Crud-up ass..

You've got me twisted and all confused.

Should I feel wanted?.

Should I feel used?.

Please get out of my life.

Go back home to your wife..
