Review of Milton's Secret (2016) by Terry T — 29 Sep 2016
I loved this movie. And I love that occasionally writers, directors and producers such as Barnet Bain are breaking away from the formulaic make money and rely car chases, fights, crashes, explosions and special effects.
It's nice to se a meaningful, relevant story well told and acted. Steve Jobs once said, "Simplicity is the new sophistication." This movie qualifies as sophisticated in that several important themes and messages were elegantly and simply told.
Often it was a nuanced facial expression, a fleeting camera angle or scene composition, or an everyman experience and vulnerability not usually talked about publicly. The movie has a timely and timeless message.
