Review of Millions (2005) by Jason R — 29 Mar 2008
Not even the ChristianScience Monitor can find a hint wrong with this film!
It's the only British film that made me want to be british. I would expect this from films like Sexy Beast and Snatch, but a childrens film? I guess I liked the film for its alternative look at what a person would do with Millions of dollars. Similar American family films, like Blank Check, were such a flop because they failed to make us like the characters, care about the characters, and understand the characters. This film did this and so much more. Damian is a hero in his own way, and genuinely cares about his family and people who aren't. A delightful film to see.
