Review of Millions (2005) by Ricardo O — 10 Oct 2009
Very British. Yet another film I have liked by one of my favorite directors working today. I really liked Alex Etel as the little boy he did a wonderful job playing his role.
Very much different from what you might think of when someone mentions the name Danny Boyle. Instead of the typical crime/violent drama we have come to expect from him he makes a wonderful and charming family film. Really loved it from start to finish.
I love the cinematography by his ace cinematographer Anthony Dod Mantle who he worked with on 28 Days Later and later would win an Oscar for his work in Slumdog Millionaire. And the editing was well done as well and of course John Murphy always does a good job when it comes to scoring Boyle's films like 28 Days Later and Sunshine. How can someone not enjoy this movie? 8/10.
