More Best Picture Oscar fare, and while I was actually pretty into the slightly cliched rags to riches ladyboxing story arc of the first three-quarters of the film - the acting of Hilary Swank in particular carrying that off - I still don't know what to make of the almost perverse change of direction for the end (no spoilers).
I'm not sure I liked it, though maybe it was brave to try. Braver than their left-field decision to cast Morgan Freeman as the world-weary-but-wise old narrator. Whoever came up with that?
