This is a great film and Hilary Swank is unbelievable in it, but I absolutely refuse to watch it again. I cannot bear it. I can't remember a time when a movie brought me so thoroughly up and then knocked me so hard to the floor, I could barely leave the theater.
In other words, you feel the emotional blows that Maggie suffers physically and emotionally. Just about the most depressing ending to a film I've ever witnessed!
