Review of Million Dollar Baby (2004) by Noname — 31 Dec 2014
While the end result should've been better and more satisfying, Eastwood showed really good skills as a director and score composer while performing good alongside with Swank's and Freeman's - all three been given Oscar nominations and most won - in this 2004 Best Picture winner with a good heart and started to get moving in the second half. Before the chain of the plot twist, this may not be known to Eastwood but he'd directed a good suggestion of what direction the "Rocky" sequels would've went to at the same successful level of the 1976 Best Picture winner, when there were few similar points. As the film processes, it'd went from an A- to a B-movie, with good cast and performances. (B+).
