Review of Million Dollar Baby (2004) by Muhammed A — 01 Dec 2011
Million Dollar Baby My nutshell Review.
This is one of the greatest films of all time. A very shaking story of a wanna be boxer which ends her up in complete failure and death. Clinton Eastwood gives his best shot as the trainer who hopelessly can't get anyone to their title shot but when he gets a boxer that too a woman he does a big small mistake which takes toll of her whole life and career. Hilary swank plays one of her best as Maggie Fitzgerald the woman who wanted to be a boxer even at a late age of 32 as she believed life hadn't given her anything and as this was her chance to get something out of it. The Montage is excellent and you will be visually stunned by the degree of perfection of the direction by Clint Eastwood. This movie is really powerful and leaves you an inspirational message at the courage of Maggie to get out of this world the hard way. The script of the movie is great and some dialogues really convey something more than what they mean. Morgan Freeman plays one of his best as a boxer who had become a one eyed man because of a mistake which Frankie had committed. What can happen inside a family of dirty money loving morons were explicitly shown and those scenes were emotionally wrenching. It's a very straight forward approach which anyone can love and this is one of the best films of the Decade.
My rating : A+.
