Review of Million Dollar Baby (2004) by Abdulbasit S — 13 Feb 2012
This is not one of those strive-till-you-thrive sports flicks in which being happy and successful is all that matters. It's about listening to your own heart and your instincts fearlessly enough for the world to know that how lead your life is none of their business, it's about letting them know that come hell or high water, you'll stick to you guns.
. The movie also sheds a light on the nastily inconsiderate side of human nature and its oft-concealed crude primitiveness. Acting-wise, Hilary Swank shines like a star, and both Freeman and even Eastwood are flawlessly good.
