Packed with more genuine emotion than most sports films, Disney's Million Dollar Arm explores the cultural differences between America and India while following JB Bernstein's (Jon Hamm) character development.
About half this movie is training montages, and the other half poorly written interactions reeking of false-sentimentality. A dose of subtlety could have gone a long way here. Bottom line, it's a feel good Disney film that plays out like a generic sports flick.
