Review of Miller's Crossing (1990) by Wyatt C — 09 Dec 2008
A fine noir/gangster flick, brilliantly directed, with a great script - but one problem: it's main character (played by Gabriel Byrne) isn't particular likeable. In fact, Albert Finney and Jon Polito's rival bosses come across much better.
As such, what could have been a classic is an almost-classic. Meanwhile, John Turturro steals all the scenes (as usual in a Coen bros film).
