Review of Miller's Crossing (1990) by Petros T — 09 Nov 2010
This fourth Coen experience is one of their most well-designed films. With a unique cast which includes Coen regulars and an excelent John Turturro, this is by no means inferior to "The Godfather" or similar mafia classics.
The Coen's black humour is there, the great photography wins you and Burwell produces an excellent score, while the costumes do their job right. I must admit, though, that it is confusing in the beginning, but it is worth struggling.
"It's all about ethics", after all!
