Review of Millennium Actress (2002) by Lucia S — 29 May 2007
A small gem that hasn't received the attention it merits. This film serves as further proof that Satoshi Kon is no one hit wonder. The heart-breaking and inspiring nature of this forsaken love story coupled with the highly likable character (Chiyoko) and the two lovable sidekicks.
What stands out the most in my mind, however, is the brilliantly done transition scene and the beautiful score to accompany this animated masterpiece.
