One of (if not THE) the greatest examples of character development in ANY film medium. I've never seen another movie that makes you care for the characters anywhere near as much as this one does! That being said - it is a VERY cerebral story, with it all being told in very abstract form that will not make sense to the popcorn and soda crowd.
If you're willing to be open-minded and think in a movie, there is no film that will please the mind, heart, eyes, and ears more than this masterpiece!
