The film narrates the life of Harvey Milk, the first gay to be elected to political post in California. But don't let the synopsis draw you from the screen. Milk is vigorous but emotional biopic that also addresses the conflict between modern mind and aged religious belief. A worthy milestone for the homosexual cinema along with Philadelphia and Brokeback Mountain.
