Anyone who has ever had something to fight for (or who has seen their rights baselessly stripped off of their skins) can relate to this brutal, honest and heart wrenching true tale. Penn's stellar performance is clearly well worthy of the Academy Award he garnered for it.
A little long, however length is key in how the film was crafted and how it affects its audience.
