Moving story about the first gay elected official in the U.S. who was tragically assassinated for...being gay pretty much. :(.
Sean Penn, Emile Hirsch and James Franco do well in their roles. It's directed by Gus Van Sant, who I'm not a huge fan of (he was responsible for the remake of Psycho...ugh). He redeems himself however with this triumphant but tragic piece of filmmaking.
8/10 (Great).
