Review of Miles Ahead (2016) by Sedrique D — 03 Jun 2016
Miles Davis, whose Father was a Doctor who ran his own Practice, Mother was a classic pianist. Fell in love with the trumpet as a youth, walked for Miles at a time building strength in his mouth to play the trumpet a s ayouth.
ACCEPTED INTO JUILLIARD WHERE HE ATTENDED CLASSES HALF-HEARTEDLY, And then became entrenched into the New York Bebop scene, in which He revolutionized Jazz...This film expresses no intellectual nature, only the Gangster Imagery to captivate today's youth.
I guess in a sense, Cheadle is conveying that Miles was "AHEAD" in a sense of what the modern day Black Rapper "musician" experiences, shootouts, drugs, crime, etc. If so, this movie deserves a 5% at best, because Miles is not to be compared to any contemporary musicians pysche.
.He's an American 1 of 1. Who deserved a "Walk The Line", "Ray" devotion of a film.
