Review of Mile 22 (2018) by Brady O — 30 Oct 2018

Take this movie for what it is - dumb fun, over the top action, spy thriller.

The action scenes are brutal, over the top, and phenomenal! The characters are slightly 2D, but are very funny. There's a sense of comradery within the group that makes them feel like real friends and an actual unit.

Wahlberg puts on a great performance, and any joke he made landed. The gun scenes are satisfying, and the scenes with the "overlord" character(s) are very realistic feeling, and set a great tone.

The twist at the end, though somewhat foreseeable, still interesting.

I recommend this one, if you want something funny, and over the top with plenty of amazing action, this is the movie.
