I haven't seen a meditation on parenting this nightmarish since eraserhead. personally, i'm not sure whether i'd rather have the pig-fetus-baby-head-thing or ann blyth's veda as a child.
unnerving and interesting. ida, played by eve arden, is a laugh and a half.
