Review of Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates (2016) by Kevin S — 09 Oct 2016
Could have been a lot better. I kept comparing it to Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which was a much better movie. The 2 male leads were pretty good, Efron still working on his comedy chops, but does well, and Devine the better one, with many amazing scenes (push-pops being my favorite, I laughed so hard I had to rewind it to watch it again, where I continued to laugh). I felt like the females were underutilized, Kendrick was ok as the almost sad/ straight one, and Plaza sadly didn't get as many jokes or opportunities to improvise (similar to Dirty Grandpa, the last movie I saw with her, which also had Efron).
Overall, not the worst, but not really worth the time.
Watched on Netflix with Sam at her house, October 9, 2016.
