Review of Mighty Aphrodite (1995) by Garry J — 22 Jan 2008
The whole bit with the Greek players and their amusing antics was funny at first but it get extremely annoying and derailed the flow of the film. The story was interesting enough, the characters, especially Linda were well written.
Allen has an uncanny knack at writing dialogue that feels so real and authentic. This film is alright but nowhere near anything like Annie Hall or Manhattan or even Zelig.
