Midnight Sun is a reboot based on the Japanese movie. It is a romantic drama about a 17 year old girl with the XP disease. The movie has a good story with good acting and is essentially targeted for a teen audience.
Overall I enjoyed the movie and I learned a lot about the disease (known also as Moon Children).
