Review of Midnight Run (1988) by Daniel S — 14 May 2010

I realize the poster for midnight run makes it seem like a dumb comedy, but it is anything but, I had heard very good things about this coming in and so I had high expectations, and they were actually met, the story is very very engaging and well written, I loved how all these different parties all come together around this one man, all the decisions made by the characters are intelligent (for the most part) at least moreso than most movies, the tension keeps building all the way until the end, which I thought was handled very nicely, I have no problems that I can think of with the script, the acting is great too, all the supporting cast shines, including several of my faves like farina and pantoliano, and the 2 leads are very good too, I loved just seeing them talk in the quiet moments and I was really hoping for the best for both of them.

a very entertaining movie that I highly recommend.
