Martin Brest passed on Rain Man to make this movie, and even though Rain Man won best picture I can't think of a person that does not love Midnight Run. The unexpected chemistry between De Niro and Grodin is amazing, the story, the humor, the chemistry, just works on every level!!
This is a truly GREAT movie.
