Review of Midnight Run (1988) by Adam K — 04 Mar 2008
The character chemistry between robert de niro and charles grodin serves as one of this film's most entertaining values. its got story and motive, and an entertaining script. add the elements of a good action comedy, along with memorable side performances from joe pantoliano, john ashton and dennis farina, and you've got just the right amount of variety to make this film succeed.
this was martin brest in his prime, right off the heels of beverly hills cop, and long before the downfall that gigli brought him. I beleive a comeback is possible, if the cards are played right.
