Review of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (1997) by Jeff H — 14 May 2008
Not entirely successful but still a very interesting film and genuinely enjoyable.Clint Eastwood gets a good handle on the strange characters and it's never boring and John Cusack and Kevin Spacey are excellent,with Spacey giving probably one of his best performances to date.
The best performance,however comes from the Lady Chablis-anytime she's onscreen she fucking owns it.Unfortuantely the film doesn't live up to it's massive potential but having said that it's by no means a disaster and is an interesting and enjoyable curio.
