Review of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (1997) by Vance W — 19 May 2008
Spectacular. Cusack and Spacey at their best. And how can you not fall in love with the Lady Chablis? The film does Berendt proud, and Eastwood should be proud of his work. Even the nepotism in casting can't kill the directorial skill.
And the closing credits are great - watch for the rainstorm (or should I say, brainstorm?). "To understand the livin', you got to commune with the dead!".
