Review of Midnight in Paris (2011) by Dave R — 03 Jan 2013
It's kind of hard to see someone else play the part that is obviously supposed to be the neurotic, chatterbox that is woody allen - and i'm not really an owen wilson fan - but this works pretty nicely. wilson plays a struggling screenwriter looking to make the leap to literature when one night he discovers that he can travel to the past and see paris in its "glory days"; which inspires him to write but also gives allen the chance to play with the idea of "glory days" and how we don't realize we are living in times that people will eventually look back on with a fondness that is lost on us.
Not a waste of time; liked it more than I thought I would.
