Review of Midnight Cowboy (1969) by Tyler J — 09 Jun 2008
Life is hard, dreams are obliterated. Schlesinger makes his point vividly clear as two simple, but hopeful characters are trodden upon in 60's impersonal New York city. Very impressive work from Hoffman, and a different Voight than we see nowadays.
All in all, tragic and real.
