Review of Midnight Cowboy (1969) by Trevor O — 13 Jul 2008
This movie, although it's disturbing at times, its not at the point where it has you covering your eyes. In fact, I found myslef staring at Jon Voight the entire picture realizing how much he looks like Angelina Jolie, but thats besides the point.
I do believe this is the best acting Dustin Hoffman has ever done in a film. I'm sure people can say Rainman kicked ass, but I think this is his most memorable. He's scrufy, incredibly dirty, dying for a shower and he has the accent, that New Yorker Bronx that I find so hilarious. Jon Voight and him make a real partnership, and they really have a great chemistry on screen.
