Review of Midnight Cowboy (1969) by Gabe A — 15 Jul 2008
Probably the most unlikely Best Picture winner, this is a dark and distressing and altogether marvelous snapshot of the beginning of the dark Seventies in America. As great for its story as for its contemporary shots of a decomposing New York.
