Review of Midnight Cowboy (1969) by Ian M — 07 Nov 2008
This movie accurately made New York seem like the shittiest place in the world. It's odd how Dustin Hoffman is still likable even as the skeeviest character ever. It's a great retelling of "of Mice and Men", except in this version, George dies instead of Lenny.
This movie was ahead of it's time too, since it was technically the first film to ever deal with gay cowboys.
