Review of Midnight Cowboy (1969) by Preston E — 26 Feb 2009
Though it may have some of those stylized 60's cinematic hallmarks (you'll know when you see it) that make it seem dated, Midnight Cowboy is still a powerful film about friendship amidst turbulence in the city.
The portrayals of handsome Joe Buck and Rico 'Ratso' Rizzo by Jon Voight and Dustin Hoffman, respectively, are unforgettable. The story of these two born losers' struggle to survive is powerful and heartbreaking.
An uncompromising triumph.
