Review of Midnight Cowboy (1969) by Michael C — 08 Oct 2010
Has aged rather more than expected, and it takes a while to acclimatize to the somewhat theatrical characters. That said, the performances are terrific, and amidst some genuinely heart-breaking scenes, there's an electrifying energy.
At best it's a thrilling work, but also balances the entertainment with a sense of heart-ache and longing.
