Review of Midnight Cowboy (1969) by Calvin C — 18 Feb 2013
Best Picture Winner of 1969, this is the very definition of class-A acting. Voight is already a veteran in his first film and Dustin Hoffman easily makes a case for him being one of the greatest actors of any generation. This is a very sad, depressing story about loneliness about two lonely people who need each other more than they think. A daring choice for the top award, but a smart choice.
Grade: A-.
