Review of Midnight Cowboy (1969) by Steve H — 22 Apr 2013
I have always loved this movie. Certainly very avant garde for an American film when it first came out in 1970. X rated I couldn't see of course at the time but some friends of my Mum and Dad's did and when they described it in the David Jones' cafeteria in Sydney back in 1970 I couldn't wait to get to it.
The music is fabulous and Voight and Hoffmann have never ever been better.
