Review of Midnight Cowboy (1969) by Twins S — 15 Dec 2013
"Midnight Cowboy" is a Dark DARK movie. Really disturbing to watch as well as very compelling for its characters..
In fact the themes of sexuality, dark fantasies, homosexuality, prostitution, poverty, drugs, dreams and naivety are embedded in the two characters (an hustler from Texas and a low life Newyorker) conveying feeling of lost humanity and despair, but also the poignant need of one another.
Probably academy award most controversial best picture winner.
Marked at times by a psychedelic montage, "Midnight Cowboy" is a movie that deserves to be watched.
