Review of Midnight Cowboy (1969) by Ben C — 02 Feb 2014
Highly controversial when it was released in 1969, this film by John Schlesinger paved the way for filmmakers to explore the sexual revolution in cinema and to tackle the subjects that were normally too risque for audiences to handle.
Jon Voight and Dustin Hoffman both gave brilliant and brave performances as the naive male prostitute and sickly New York hustler, respectively.
