This is the only X rated film to ever win best picture at the academy awards. It is also one of the most moving characters studies ever filmed. Set in the latest sixties, here we see a side of New York that may not have ever been seen by anyone if this film hadn't been made.
Our two anti heroes keep us rooting until the very end.
