Review of Midnight Cowboy (1969) by Kyle C — 17 Nov 2009
Let me start this off by saying that I have NEVER liked Dustin Hoffman. Add to that, that I really didn't much like Jon Voight either. In addition, I didn't really like some of the cinematic fancy stuff that the director was doing in the beginning.
The flashing scenes from the television for example...or the scene shifting back and forth between a shot of Joe's back as he is walking at night and walking during the day. It was different...but I found it to be annoying.
....but then....then I found myself caring about both of the characters....and it SUCKED ME RIGHT IN. And now I have to say, it was quite an amazing movie.
