Review of Mid-August Lunch (2008) by Jana S — 03 Jul 2011
A sublime and hilarious celebration of traditional Italian Matriarchal respect. Gianni Di Gregorio, fresh from scripting the excellent Gomorrah, directs and stars in this gentle little comedy about an ageing Italian bachelor and his charming old mum.
Perfectly and respectfully examining the divide between different generations and the fun you can have when your elderly.
