Despite the chronically unfunny gurning French comedic performance style that is part Mr Bean and part Hollyoaks Sunday Omnibus sign language lady, there are many laughs and much to wonder at in Amelie director Jean-Pierre Jeunet's latest movie.
Not a classic on Amelie's level, but a cut above most Hollywood output.
