Director Jean-Pierre Jeunet is a consistently watchable filmmaker even when Hollywood tries to meddle with his output with the variable Alien Ressurrection one cannot fault his visual style and knack for comedy.
MicMacs is one of his strongest pictures, easily on a par with Amelie in terms of the feel-good factor and laughs it provides. I guarantee you wont see a better looking film this year regardless of the budget thrown at it.
