Review of Micmacs (2009) by Art S — 22 Sep 2010
Jean-Pierre Jeunet is at it again, cramming a movie with whimsical asides, mechanical what-nots, lovable misfits, and non-stop shenanigans (which I've read is the direct translation of the title). Two competing arms dealers find themselves at the mercy of an accidental victim of their wares.
Unfortunately, despite its flashes of charm, it does feel a bit like Jeunet is going through the motions...
