Review of Micmacs (2009) by Alice S — 22 May 2011
A bit of a mess. Lots of intrigue and espionage (fitting for a movie entitled Non-Stop Shenanigans), but it's all a little too much fun and confusing for the political message embedded within. As such, the thesis on irresponsible tactics of war is as shallow as the one in The Girl In the Cafe.
However, the colors and soundtrack are delightful as I've come to expect of Jeunet, of course.
