Review of Micmacs (2009) by Spyros T — 22 Aug 2011
Inventive, infrequently funny, had no emotional consequence and felt more like a shipshod story in service of occasional visual pizzazz. Still it's always a satisfying experience when a film has a fresh concept and a definite style and sticks to it all the way through.
It's impossible not to appreciate the artistry and commitment of Jeunet's work, even though I still haven't forgiven him for going forward on filming Whedon's wretched script for Alien 4.
